After a fair amount of research on the web I found StrengthBox Wokingham, watched the video, then decided to fill out… the online form.the next Morning Nick gave me a call and we arranged to meet to discuss how his system would work with my 50 year old needs.I decided on the 12 week 2 session per week transformation, very quickly I received an email introducing Sophie as my new personal trainer, I booked our first session.Session 1.Sophie straightaway made me feel at easy explaining how we were going to start the program.I have always actively avoided the Gym, with no gym experience I explained that I would like to tone up and lose my excess body-fat.We started with photos and measurements then started working on my lower body.I did not have a clue how to warm up or use the weights correctly.I have never had as much fun in a gym before, as each session is motivating and challenging in its own unique way. Sophie seems to adapt to any situation and can get the best out of me even when I’m tired etc, she always manages to push me adequately enough to make me achieve mixing up the exercises to add variation, upping the weights when I make it look easy always pushing to achieve. After a few years away from gyms I signed up to a 12 week transformation at StrengthBox at the start of January and the… results were exactly what I was after – I was enthused about training again, and I lost 9kg in weight. Working with Darren and Nick really made me realise just how inexperienced and uninformed regular gym staff are beyond how their machines work. They really bring their experience of training and competing to bear and their understanding of how nutrition needs to be factored into the plan really made the difference for me. I got the impression that I was never on my own at StrengthBox, even when I was staring into the fridge in search of food! Perhaps the highest recommendation I can give is that even a month after I finished my transformation I’m still training 3 or 4 times a week, my food intake is much better than before, and the weight is staying off.read more

After losing interest in traditional gyms, and decided to try the circuits and not looked back. I have always struggled… to motivate myself at the gym so have found the circuits a great way to push myself and train as hard as I can. There are no ego’s in the gym and everyone is friendly as soon as you walk through the door. I also completed the 6-week transformation with Nick and amazed by the results. I’ve been going to StrengthBox for nearly two years and could not recommend the place enough. The classes are… incredibly fun and great value for money yet still challenging every week. I signed up for the 6 week transformation and I’m amazed by the results – Nick is incredibly knowledgeable and driven… to get his clients motivated and working hard to achieve the best they can. I quickly got into the programme and loved the scientific approach to losing fat and improving my lean muscle. I didn’t want to gain weight and bulk up but to gain definition, fitness and strength and every week I saw the emerging results. The variations in routine kept it interesting and every week built on the week before. Having spent a fortune in normal gyms previously the course was incredible value for money, very focussed and disciplined – hard work but also great fun! Highly recommended!!read more
I can’t rate Strengthbox highly enough: Nick is friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable and the gym is suitable for… all ages and fitness levels. He makes the classes fun an varies them each week. I plan to keep going until I’m about 80 🙂read more
I completed a 6 week transformation with Nick earlier this year and I was delighted with the results. The workouts are… tough but good fun and the diet plan is clear and easy to follow. Sessions with Nick are great, he pushes you that little bit harder and I learnt a lot a long the way. There is always a great atmosphere in the gym and the circuit classes throughout the week are great fun as well. I was really pleased with my results, dropping a lot of body fat and putting on muscle mass along the way. I would highly recommend working with Nick if you are looking to get in shape for the summer and make positive changes to your diet and lifestyle! What a great set-up at the new Strengthbox Gym in Finchampstead. Done a few training sessions with Nick now and really… enjoying them. Nick was previously recommended by a friend and he went on to train some of the squads at Reading Rugby Club and dramatically improved their results.read more
If you want results Nick is certainly the person to help you achieve them. His strength and conditioning training for… my son enabled him to achieve his place in Berkshire County Rugby and then later the AASE Rugby Squad at Hartpury College.
